I've been looking forward to this app for a while now. Interested in the daily login reward feature, but am still unsure if I want to go for the premium or not. Anyone else decide if they are going to purchase it? I can't help but feel as we start to enter the later patches of 4.x that everything is sort of feeling rush but also late??? Ideally the Alphascape raid tier should have come out later this month (but I'm not really complaining- my group still hasn't gotten all their weapons yet). And they're planning on releasing the third Eureka step a month and half after Pagos? By the time of Pagos' release, we'll have had Eureka for 4 months + few weeks. On the bright side, there seem to be a lot of other cool features coming our way: much needed HUD layout changes to PvP; finally an update to the GC ranks; new GATE; and a randomized lost canals. Hopefully the randomized maps don't screw people over by getting canals that drop worse loot compared to other.
I was really looking forward to the APP as well. But, when it comes to Premium... A subscription? Really!? For an app!? No thanks.
The reward just doesn't seem worth it as much, but it would be nice to organize my retainer inventory whenever I wanted to. My hesitation is how the fee occurs- is it a monthly subscription that takes from your app store account or is it something we can manage on the MogStation? That will probably be the selling point for me.
I expect it will be handled via the Mog Station since it effects in-game bonuses such as additional retainers.
I'll definitely be downloading the app. The premium service seems a bit much. I guess as you get a free retainer I could stop paying for one of my retainers to offset the cost a bit. I guess it'll boil down to how much I really want those extra features.
My only hope is that this app also available on more region, Libra Eorzea still not available at my region till this day for IOS, and I don't feel like making new email so that I could make apple account on other region that support the app since I already managing multiple emails and it's a headache. And yes, all my current email have been used to register on both iphone & ipad. ^^; Premium service did offer double saddlebag spaces as well as double kupo nuts and I think higher nut limit cap, though I doubt I would pay for it. ^^; On another unrelated (or maybe related) note, this also came from recent FF11's Q&A: Q9) Are there plans to enable players with active FFXIV subscriptions free access to a single content ID for FFXI? During the later part of FFXIV's longer patch cycles, a lot of players only log in a few times a week which seems a great opportunity for them to try FFXI, though they are understandably reluctant to pay two subscriptions concurrently. The idea could be giving FFXIV players a certain number of hours of free access to FFXI per week that isn't comparable to a full subscription. A9) We need to think about this from a business viewpoint, so no comment at this moment. I only hope that this would come into reality since there's still tons of stuff I've yet done. FYI, 1.0 did enjoy special bonus from FF11 subs like that running shoes, so I reckon... why not? XD
Libra Eorzea is no longer available, anyway. I think that answer is a way to say "we'll think about it, but ultimately it's not going to happen". I don't ever see them combining subs, iirc there was some limitations due to PlayOnline, although I would definitely take advantage of it if they did decide to free access - albeit I'd probably have to start over.
