Yes, who wouldn't love Sony's high-end cameras?
Hyur Mid-lander because of my accursed disposition toward proportionality. Would've gone Male, but I kind of adored how Female looked overall. My Male will prob become my alternate ;D
I chose Hyur female because I'm female and I think women are more ... aesthetically pleasing to the eye due to the round nature of their curves.
Also! They look like barbies... I love barbie 8)
Sticking with Hyur because the Male Mi'Qote were a huge let down creation-wise.
I change my mind to cuteness guy. Roes are to much muscle and all... for a week using it as avatar... I begin hate it!
I wanna something more beauty to see in my avatar and ta dam Lalafell is here. I love this tiny idiots. In the beta I play hyur... but just after be playing with a lalafell character in the editor... so I always fall in love for this little bitches.
I really happy with my new choose.
I picked based on looks. The stat differences sound like they'll be pretty insignificant at high levels from what I've heard. I was originally going to go with a healer, but my guild has too many already so I changed my mind to archer/bard.
I find interesting to compare height of the different races:
Male: 1m 68cm (5' 6") to 1m 82cm (6' 0")
Female: 1m 57cm (5' 2") to 1m 70cm (5' 7")
Male: 1m 85cm (6' 1") to 2m (6' 7")
Female: 1m 73cm (5' 8") to 1m 87cm (6' 2")Elezen
Male: 1m 94cm (6' 4") to 2m 10cm (6' 11")
Female: 1m 83cm (6' 0") to 1m 98cm (6' 6")
Both genders: 87 cm (2' 10") to 97 cm (3' 2")
Male: 1m 59cm (5' 3") to 1m 73cm (5' 8")
Female: 1m 50cm (4' 11") to 1m 62cm (5' 4")
Male: 2m 14cm (7' 0") to 2m 30cm (7' 7")
Female: 1m 92cm (6' 4") to 2m 23cm (7' 4")
Was anyone else disappointed that only Hyur race had differeing voices, hairstyles, and overall looks? You could practically make both sub-races of all the other races but Hyur and make clones... :c
Not sure to understand. All races and clans have different voices.
Hyur Mid-lander and High-lander had different hairstyles and voices. I guess the sub-races wasn't obvious enough?
Like Plains Folk and Dunesfolk Lalafael share hairstyles and voices.
Ohhh, I see.
Yes it's kinda disappointing.
I think the differences between the Hyur clans is a lil more obvious because their body shapes/standing stances are different, particularly females.
For the other races, it seems the main difference is that one of the clans has access to a darker skin colour pallet.
There are some other differences too like the Miquo'te eyes are different, same with Lalafell's.
I do think there could have been some more prominent differences between the Elezen clans other than darker skin and a face tattoo, after all, they live in such wildly different ways.
But I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm disappointed about it.
I'm late to the party, but I too like the differences in height. Figured I'd add a little visual flair:
It seems we will be on the same server. I shall look down at ankle level to see if i can find you!
Miqo't simply because I prefer having a human-like appearance for my roleplaying experience, but not as generic as an actual human.
As for class.... I haven't exactly decided on my ''main'' class yet, still trying to decide between Dragoon or Summoner for main job, guess it's really up to testing it in Open Beta + Early Access and if I don't like what I have when it actually hits the shelves I'll just switch it up
I like to try and make my character look as much like me in real life as I can so naturally, I go male midlander hyur.
I made a male Roe so I can pick up sexy Highlander females without having to make a Derplander. (I think the Highlander males all look Derpy.)
Don't like playing human equivalent characters in games like this, but I had to. I wanted the frohawk, you see.
I'm caught between lancer and marauder. I usually play casting dps but didn't want to be glass this time. Lancer if I want dps and marauder if I decide to man up and tank for the first time.
Was considering Miqo'te, but apart from the fact that everybody and their aunt is playing one, I didn't like the turn of the century hair styles. No offense.
39 % said they will use a female character (all races combined).
33% said they will be Miqo'te, which is 1 character out of 3.
18 % Seeker of the Sun
15 % Keeper of the Moon
There are 3 possibles scenarios:
Most Miqo'te characters will be female
Both gender will be quite equal
Most Miqo'te characters will be male
So... if you want to play Miqo'te and the "overpopulation" is bothering you:
If scenario 1 happens: Choose a male Miqo'te.
If scenario 2 happens: Choose whatever gender you want.
If scenario 3 happens: Choose a female Miqo'te.
In all scenario: Choose Keeper of the Moon. They are slightly less common.
But this is just some surveys. Nothing concrete hard.
Or... just don't bother with the possible "overpopulation" thing, and play the race that you find the most cool.
