So I'm looking for information and would be absolutely greatful to anyone that can post here -- post anything, even if it seems like something "obvious" that I probably know about. If you're not sure if someone said it already, go ahead and say it again!

So the purpose of this thread is to share your favourite FFXIV resources. Whether it's people you know in game, on these or other forums, etc, or a website you use a lot. A guide writer, a podcast, a website with statistics, whatever it is that either A) furthers your enjoyment of the game or B) helps you to be informed.

If it's something obvious, like FFXIVRealms guides or MTQ/Mr Happys videos, that's great, post! If it's less obvious, maybe a lesser known guide writer, even better!

Any and all efforts are muchly appreciated by myself and the entire staff

Personally, while in game I like to pester @kotorinbo with questions. She loves it. Maybe. A little bit. Not really. >:3. Or sometimes if my mentor aka Kefalas is available, he's willing to go the extra mile, actually get on TS with me and spend hours explaining things and walking me through them. (Koto's done stuff similar to this too but poor Kef seems to think I've replaced him </3)

Uuuuhhhh... As far as looking stuff up, aka where to find certain enemies, creeping on friends characters on the Lodestone, etc I usually just Google whatever it is until I find an answer I like xD (Usually GamerEscape, xivdb, the ffxiv wiki, but I DESPISE reddit. Absolutely hate it).... Das about it.

Not really a resource page, but I've been having so much fun each day visiting
    Anne Blazer's Doody Finder:
    http://doodyfinder.tumblr.com/

Annie is one of my veteran FC members. She calls herself an "astrophysicist", and she's a total magnet for weirdos/jerks on the DF. Despite being a sweetheart most of the time, she's very easily annoyed by obnoxious players. Almost every day, she gets some outrageous encounters in the DF! So on one hand, I love running dungeons with Annie, because she's a very awesome person & competent players to do things with, and I want to reduce her unhappy encounters on the DF. But on the other hand, I want her to meet more weirdos so I can enjoy more of her hilarious stories! LOL! :hilarious:

The one I tend to use the most is XIVDB.com as it provides a lot of info about certain items, quests etc.

The resources I use are on this site. Due to friendly people responding back, and the guides are above par. I previously used Gamefaqs, from day one of its start up,but now it's filled up with trolls and major toxicity.

Please allow me to introduce you the
    MINI CACPOT CALCULATOR!!
    http://cactacalc.com/

It's an awesome utility that is indispensable for playing the Gold Saucer mini cacpot!

    For Fishers, please enjoy the
    SKY WATCHER UTILITY!
    http://en.ff14angler.com/skywatcher

Now without teleporting to the location, you can still know the upcoming weather in a particular area for fishing special fishes!

A pretty nice crafting simulator for ARR, it's easy to use, but it doesn't have Heavensward items:
    FFXIV Crafter
    http://www.ffxivcrafter.com/crafting.php

*NOTE: No crafting simulators in the world are truly accurate! So don't trust it 100%

A pretty nice crafting simulator for Heavensward, recommended by Katlyna:
    FFXIV Crafting Optimizer

Would be even better if they got their signature generation up and running again.

When I craft; there is no better source than Caimie's guide(s).

I don't really look offsite too often, but I accomplished pretty much every MSQ dungeon with the help of MTQ and her video guides.

For in game furnishing. Linky. Can't tell u how many times I go here. Really helpful for when you want to see what an item actually looks like, where to get it and or how to make it.

Shocked no one has mentioned FFXIVClock.com yet. Invaluable as a gatherer as it lets you know when all the windows are (although it claims HQ windows are 3 hours, when they are actually 1 hour). Also allows you to set "alarms" for when a node you're interested in has popped.

XIVDB, Gamerescape and Ariyala are also common sources of info for me.

If there is new content I tend to read reddit at work to figure out what to do (It's better than working right?). It can be an amazing source of info, but also misleading as hell.

Can't really think of any other real sources of info - I mostly google stuff and see what pops up. Lodestone can be handy for scouting free companies, although the member numbers can be rather misleading. Joined the 4th/5th largest FC on my server with 350ish members and it turns out there are only about 30ish active members with 250+ having been inactive for 6 months or more (some are nearly 2 years inactive!).

Oh forgot this website. It's cool cause it's good for making a grocery list of the things that you want to craft. You know for when you don't want to do math and craft in bulk. XD

They also have a equipment list by lvl for each class/job so you know what the best gear is at your current lvl.

They also have other stuff too but those are really the only two things I really use.

These are all from my bookmarks and I use most of them on a daily bases. I don't know How I would play without them.

    http://xivdb.com/
For all sort of things from Items, and weapons, to Fate, hunts, Wardrobe you name it. Still finding new things every day.

    http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/
Lots of info for almost all of the game. Items, Gear, Classis/Jobs, quests, patches, Crafting Logs, etc, etc, etc.... I liked to use this for tracking my MSQ.

    http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/FF14_Wiki
Good for Dungeons, Trials, (with videos for them all) class/Job info, and some other stuff, but not as expansive as you might imagine.

    http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/
Yes i know it's the game's website, but might as well include it. Has lots of good info.

    http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/Gathering
Used for tracking Unspoiled nodes. Also has other things on the website.

    http://ffxivchocobo.com/
    Used for Chocobo colors.

    http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Aether_Current
Used for doing your Aether Currents.

    http://ffxivgardening.com/index.php
    Good for gardening.

    (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ Hope it helps.
