Seventh Dawn RP LS (Official Launch Thread)

UPDATE: Since I wanted to give my character a "new" way of seeing thins I thought about being evil but some members of the ls said "nooo" and well its not really my nature be dark xD So too "help" a lil bit the motion of things I gave my character a more innocent look. I have to rewrite the bio and all but the child look would give a more innocent aspect to the ls. So stay tuned! (Yoshi-P momment there)

Every time Rowan takes a step in Ul'dah, he accidentally punts a lala. (Selem is worse, he just straight-up steps on some of them.)

Alright, so after a bit (sorry for the wait) I'm ready to present to you guys my idea for the rework for the LS.

This might require a new LS but we'll see how it goes, and I'll certainly be starting a new Thread.

Here we go:

"The Aces of Spades"

Following an the exploration of the Syrcus Tower, Aisha K'lank'lan noted Summoner and adventurer acquired an unweathered Book of Spades, one of several copies made by the legendary crafter Gerolt years ago, upon opening the tome she discovered that the Book and others like it was possessed of an intellect and furthermore it had a will and desire to protect Eorzea. Gathering information in a sort of network with other Books of Spades and Diamonds, Aisha's Book asked for her to undertake several tasks to help keep Eorzea stable and protect it's people

Ever willing to accept the challenge Aisha went forth but found that there was only so much she could do on her own, understanding her limitations as a single hero she and her Book searched across Eorzea for people to help bringing them together in a loose federation of individuals she has dubbed "The Aces of Spades"

-What I see with this idea is a sort of unifying thing that has brought all of our characters together and in a positive fashion, since we all want to (and should) be good guys.
-I can see some folks might have a conflict with this proposal as they might believe I want to set myself up as the star of the story, this is not my desire. The only reason I thought of this is because the Book of Spades can act as a plot device that not only provides a metaplot reason we're all together but also can be a source for stories and such. I am not unilaterally married to this idea and am open to dsicussing other stories/methods of bringing us all together. This is just one option for a metaplot
-If other people are cool with it I'd like to have us act as if from an RP prospective none of our characters have done the Hard or Expert Optional Dungeons. Since most of us are 50's I think it'd be fun to do RP runs of this content and unlike Primals or Storyline Dungeons acting like we haven't done them won't interfere with the overall narrative.

I definitely like the idea of taking on the dungeons together, though that could get, um, interesting depending on the combination of people online at the moment XD ("Yes! Let's run a dungeon with... um... three tanks and one DPS...?")

Not entirely certain how "sentient books wanting to save Eorzea" would really play out as a connecting device, but then, that could just be 'cause it's not my idea so I don't have all the details in my head already XP

 

I think it sounds like a fantastic idea. The biggest problem with so many RP shells is that folks just sort of sit around waiting to chitchat and gossip in secluded corners of the cities - actually going out there and experiencing some content with other in-character players is going to be what sets you apart and makes you successful.

 

Yaaay finally! I like the idea of running content! I dont mind if u wanna be the center or star of the story, everyone has its own atributtes to shine while we develop the story.

Hi, everyone! I am not sure how, but I am able to log-in again despite having password recovery issues. I love the idea of doing dungeons together. This weekend, preferably Saturday, would be the best day for me. Or Friday night. If we could stick to that schedule, it would be perfect.

 

As soon as I came up with the name I played that song on repeat for like 15 minutes lol
