I am using a macro that is very convenient for solo play. The macro is the default:

    /targetenemy
    /facetarget
    /action Auto-attack <t>
    /ac "ability" <t>

Is there any way to add a parameter, so it does not switch target if I already have one? For example in other MMO I could use something like this

    /targetenemy [noexists]

so it would target the nearest enemy for me only if I don't have target already. Is this possible in FFxiv?

Edit: In the settings I have enabled the auto-target option but it seems it doesn't work..or it does not do what I imagine it to do :)

As far as I know unless you know the enemy ID, which the game doesn't show you, you cannot target directly. Unlike players the Enemy name is not their unique ID.
