Patch 3.2 brings a host of additions and refinements to the ever-changing realm of Eorzea. Thrill-seekers can brave the steely confines of Alexander: Midas, contest the awesome might of Sephirot, the Fiend, or dive into strange new dungeons. Those still learning the ropes of the adventuring life can practice in the Hall of the Novice and seek guidance via the mentor system. If you simply need to refine your form, you can cut your teeth at Stone, Sky, Sea. There's even the orchestrion for the realm's connoisseurs of music. Indeed, there is something for everyone here in Eorzea!
Patch 3.2 Notes
Similar to patch 3.0 and 3.1, patch 3.2 contains content that can only be accessed by registering FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward to your service account. To distinguish between adjustments that are and are not affected by the registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV:...
So with the old relics being out-dated there's still one benefit left to them; they're some of the best looking items in the game and can be used as glamours. Upon completing a relic to Zeta and then doing a side quest, you're able to purchase glamours of every stage of relic for that particular weapon (Atma, Nexus, Zeta, etc.) The problem is that the new Anima relic gives you the option of discarding your Zeta in order to progress faster, and if you haven't completed the quest to acquire the relic glamours then you are no longer eligible to complete the quest, which requires that you equip the Zeta first.
Basically if you didn't do the quest "The Vital Title" and then sacrificed your Zeta, you can no longer buy the glamours of your previous relic stages.
@MasterBox has tried a few approaches and is still working on getting this corrected. The support ticket option for a one-time item restoration doesn't apply here because the item you've lost can't have been...
An adventurer is only as fierce as their blade. With greater challenges ever on the horizon, the search for greater weapons is seemingly never-ending. Today's preview offers a peek at the anima weapon, whose strength will ensure the tide of battle is set in your favor.
A young researcher hailing from the Near East has come to Eorzea in search of aid. His field of study? Anima, an essence he considers to be a reflection of the soul. Through a chance encounter with the master craftsman Gerolt, he and the legendary blacksmith have joined forces to create a weapon the likes of which the realm has never seen.

Does what it says on the tin. In this comparatively short episode, Joshua unexpectedly finds Fybrile's "Rant On" button, Fybrile sets a new record for bleeps, and Kolossus has a great idea for expanding our listenership. Apologies for the delay since our last episode. We had actually recorded an episode earlier, but just couldn't fit all the pieces together in time for pre-patch 3.1.
We're taking a break from segments this episode, and just giving our casual review of patch 3.1, and then a rant about the state of the game. You have been warned!

The beast tribes are not always what they appear, and in today's patch 3.1 preview, you'll get a peek at a new quest series that will change the way you think about the Vanu Vanu.
Vanu Vanu Beast Tribe Quests
The Vundu tribe, having summoned the primal Bismarck, wasted no time in establishing dominance over other Vanu Vanu tribes and claiming the Sea of Clouds as their own. The peaceful Zundu tribe continue to oppose their tyranny, however, and now seek the aid of an adventurer to help their people.
After unlocking the beast tribe daily quests, players will be able to undertake several quests which change on a daily basis. By completing them, players can improve their reputation with the Vanu Vanu. At certain milestones, you will be given the opportunity to undertake main beast tribe quests,...

Patch 3.1 is nearly here, and today's preview offers a look at the dangers lurking within Saint Mocianne's Arboretum, as well as the hard incarnation of Pharos Sirius.
≪Saint Mocianne's Arboretum≫
Saint Mocianne's Arboretum was once home to the greatest collection of flora and fauna the realm had ever known. Alas, in the wake of the Exodus it has since been abandoned, the teeming life within now roaming the halls with reckless abandon. A band of treasure hunters would pierce the heart of this leafy labyrinth in search of treasure, a treasure they claim would be a boon to Idyllshire. But will this savage garden yield fortune, or folly?
Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic level 60
Item Level Requirement: Average item level 170 or above

As autumn’s brisk breeze sweeps away the sweltering heat of summer, nights in the realm have grown longer with the shadows kept at bay by the glow of warding lanterns that line the streets. All Saints' Wake, that magical night of frightful fun, draws ever nearer and the Continental Circus has arrived to scare up delights for Eorzea's children. However, the Adventurers' Guild suspects there is more to their plans than meets the eye.
Those brave souls willing to help uncover the troupe's true intentions must seek out the Adventurers' Guild investigator currently on the case.

Yep, we're at it again! After a nice, relaxing summer off, we're coming back full-force with some pretty big improvements to the site! And we want your feedback about what should be included in the new update!
Leading up to the 2.1 update, we've been spending a lot of time thinking about what makes FFXIVRealm the best community for the best MMO out there. With this update, we want to focus upon you, the community. Already a lot of improvements have been made behind the scenes in preparation for the launch of the update, including better responsiveness for mobile devices, front-end customization, and lots of new ways to interact with each other. All those little gremlins that exist across the site from the 2.0 updates will hopefully be fixed, and we will be preparing the site for creating even more new, original content.
Over the next few weeks, we will be posting daily screenshots of the site's new look - yes, we're changing the theme once again, but this time, we think we've...

One of our Community Team's favourite things to do each month is to search through our new FFXIV Player Guides to select one to feature for the month. It's always difficult picking the Guide of the Month, but this month was especially hard with so many new Guides to choose from!
In the end, we decided that this Guide really stood out from the rest, with it's insightfulness and detail. Clearly, a lot of work went into preparing this Guide, so we'd like everyone to stop by and check out...
@wildbillhdmax01 's The Ultimate Warrior Guide
Wildbillhdmax01 has clearly lived up to the "Ultimate" title in this complete guide to the Warrior job in FFXIV. He clearly explains job and cross-class actions, tanking rotations and gear. Everything a player looking at getting serious about Warrior needs to get started.

PoOP - Perspectives of Online Players
What are reasonable expectations to have in DF?
>>>4 DF strangers; The DRK is reasonably geared and in STR accessories, he pulls two groups of trash (7 enemies). The BRD appears to be DPSing intermittently, doing AoEs and playing Armies Peon while the DRG is DPSing considerably better. The healer can't keep up because the BRD gets hit a couple times and the healer has near-minimum gear. The party wipes.
The DRG says "Healer and BRD pls pay attention and do your jobs, this isn't a carry." BRD claims to be having difficulties because he decided to try Keyboard and Mouse for the first time after a year of Controller play. Healer says he is doing his job but the party can't handle that size of pull, "wear tank accessories and pull less". DRK continues to try the same pull a second time and the healer refuses to heal
What do YOU expect to see as the baseline fundamental "must dos" from...
So I'm looking for information and would be absolutely greatful to anyone that can post here -- post anything, even if it seems like something "obvious" that I probably know about. If you're not sure if someone said it already, go ahead and say it again!
So the purpose of this thread is to share your favourite FFXIV resources. Whether it's people you know in game, on these or other forums, etc, or a website you use a lot. A guide writer, a podcast, a website with statistics, whatever it is that either A) furthers your enjoyment of the game or B) helps you to be informed.
If it's something obvious, like FFXIVRealms guides or MTQ/Mr Happys videos, that's great, post! If it's less obvious, maybe a lesser known guide writer, even better!
Any and all efforts are muchly appreciated by myself and the entire staff
Man, have I personally been waiting for this one. It's long past due that we feature our very own Realm Scribe, @Caimie Tsukino , for our Guide of the Month. And, even though August was full of a lot of great Guides (that we can't wait to get to featuring in the future), you just can't NOT feature the release of the third installment of Caimie's crafting guides.
A little while ago, we did the math and found that the first installment of this series was somewhere around 10, 000 words and 40-something pages. If you haven't checked out Caimie's crafting guide yet (unlikely, considering her guides have reached over 100, 000 views since April), you definitely need to stop what you're doing and head over there right now.
Here's the links to the first two installements:
