Prepare for Patch 3.3, Revenge of the Horde!
New details on Final Fantasy XI Reboot project for smartphones
Hearken back to the Future of Final Fantasy XI broadcast Square Enix held just over a year ago and you’ll recall the company’s debut of the Vana’diel Project. This included several major announcements: a new scenario called Rhapsodies of Vana’diel concluding the main scenario Final Fantasy XI, a new mobile title called Final Fantasy Grandmasters set in the world of Vana’diel, and a future mobile project developed in partnership with Nexon Korea.
The last of which is dubbed a “Massively Multiplayer Mobile Role Playing Game” or MMMRPG, and we got an update on the title’s development at the Nexon Developers Conference in Pangyo, South Korea.
Using the tentative title “Final Fantasy XI Reboot“, the game will be developed using Unreal Engine 4, and will eschew the typical...
During a Looking Heavensward panel at PAX East, Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida was asked about new content coming in future patches. Revealed is a new type of content based around the theme of “The Deep Dungeon!” and it can be played solo or with a party of up to four players.
It’s called The Palace of the Dead and will release with Patch 3.35.
The levelling system will be entirely separate from the main game, and item level does not work. That way, everyone can participate in the content together no matter...
Season's greetings, adventurers!
I can already hear you all saying, "But Camate, it's not the holidays!" Perhaps--however, with Patch 3.26, which was released today, Season One of The Feast has begun!
Many have spent the pre-season getting a feel for the battlefield, honing their tactics, and finding comrades they can trust in battle to prepare for the race to the top of the ranks in the official season. Well, the time has finally come to put your training to the test!
Even if you're a young pup who didn't pay the blood, sweat, and tears in the pit during the pre-season, never fear! There's no better time than now to take the plunge and join the fun!
With that said, though, those who wish to get deep into the competition and claw their way to the top of the pack will be handsomely rewarded. The number one ranking player on each data center will be rewarded with a special trophy furnishing item....

Patch 3.25 brings a number of additions and refinements to the realm, including the continuation of the anima weapon quest line, a new chocobo racing challenge, adjustments to PvP, and more!
Thank you for all of your invaluable input regarding the Feast. Based on the feedback we have received so far, a number of adjustments have been made for PvP. In light of these changes, we have decided to postpone the start of Season One until two weeks after the release of patch 3.25. At that time, we will release patch 3.26, which will include final adjustments for the Feast. As always, we encourage you to provide us with feedback that we may ensure seasons are an enjoyable experience for everyone.
[3.0]: These additions and adjustments require the purchase and registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward.
[2.0]: These additions and adjustments do not require the purchase of FINAL FANTASY XIV:...
I always see the the worst dungeon experience going strong in the thread wonder about some people best experiences.
I remember one of my favorite dungeon runs was when I was put in a SV and the tank notice my name was a comic reference and we spend the whole dungeon debating who the best Flash was. Lol
Or when I got in a group of leafs on Sast and talked the healer and dos threw the whole dungeon and they learn really well. We even sat down at the end and I told them how jobs worked and how things were unlocked in game.
Patch 3.2 brings a host of additions and refinements to the ever-changing realm of Eorzea. Thrill-seekers can brave the steely confines of Alexander: Midas, contest the awesome might of Sephirot, the Fiend, or dive into strange new dungeons. Those still learning the ropes of the adventuring life can practice in the Hall of the Novice and seek guidance via the mentor system. If you simply need to refine your form, you can cut your teeth at Stone, Sky, Sea. There's even the orchestrion for the realm's connoisseurs of music. Indeed, there is something for everyone here in Eorzea!
Patch 3.2 Notes
Similar to patch 3.0 and 3.1, patch 3.2 contains content that can only be accessed by registering FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward to your service account. To distinguish between adjustments that are and are not affected by the registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV:...
So with the old relics being out-dated there's still one benefit left to them; they're some of the best looking items in the game and can be used as glamours. Upon completing a relic to Zeta and then doing a side quest, you're able to purchase glamours of every stage of relic for that particular weapon (Atma, Nexus, Zeta, etc.) The problem is that the new Anima relic gives you the option of discarding your Zeta in order to progress faster, and if you haven't completed the quest to acquire the relic glamours then you are no longer eligible to complete the quest, which requires that you equip the Zeta first.
Basically if you didn't do the quest "The Vital Title" and then sacrificed your Zeta, you can no longer buy the glamours of your previous relic stages.
@MasterBox has tried a few approaches and is still working on getting this corrected. The support ticket option for a one-time item restoration doesn't apply here because the item you've lost can't have been...
An adventurer is only as fierce as their blade. With greater challenges ever on the horizon, the search for greater weapons is seemingly never-ending. Today's preview offers a peek at the anima weapon, whose strength will ensure the tide of battle is set in your favor.
A young researcher hailing from the Near East has come to Eorzea in search of aid. His field of study? Anima, an essence he considers to be a reflection of the soul. Through a chance encounter with the master craftsman Gerolt, he and the legendary blacksmith have joined forces to create a weapon the likes of which the realm has never seen.

Does what it says on the tin. In this comparatively short episode, Joshua unexpectedly finds Fybrile's "Rant On" button, Fybrile sets a new record for bleeps, and Kolossus has a great idea for expanding our listenership. Apologies for the delay since our last episode. We had actually recorded an episode earlier, but just couldn't fit all the pieces together in time for pre-patch 3.1.
We're taking a break from segments this episode, and just giving our casual review of patch 3.1, and then a rant about the state of the game. You have been warned!

Patch 3.1 is nearly here, and today's preview offers a look at the dangers lurking within Saint Mocianne's Arboretum, as well as the hard incarnation of Pharos Sirius.
≪Saint Mocianne's Arboretum≫
Saint Mocianne's Arboretum was once home to the greatest collection of flora and fauna the realm had ever known. Alas, in the wake of the Exodus it has since been abandoned, the teeming life within now roaming the halls with reckless abandon. A band of treasure hunters would pierce the heart of this leafy labyrinth in search of treasure, a treasure they claim would be a boon to Idyllshire. But will this savage garden yield fortune, or folly?

As autumn’s brisk breeze sweeps away the sweltering heat of summer, nights in the realm have grown longer with the shadows kept at bay by the glow of warding lanterns that line the streets. All Saints' Wake, that magical night of frightful fun, draws ever nearer and the Continental Circus has arrived to scare up delights for Eorzea's children. However, the Adventurers' Guild suspects there is more to their plans than meets the eye.
Those brave souls willing to help uncover the troupe's true intentions must seek out the Adventurers' Guild investigator currently on the case.

Yep, we're at it again! After a nice, relaxing summer off, we're coming back full-force with some pretty big improvements to the site! And we want your feedback about what should be included in the new update!
Leading up to the 2.1 update, we've been spending a lot of time thinking about what makes FFXIVRealm the best community for the best MMO out there. With this update, we want to focus upon you, the community. Already a lot of improvements have been made behind the scenes in preparation for the launch of the update, including better responsiveness for mobile devices, front-end customization, and lots of new ways to interact with each other. All those little gremlins that exist across the site from the 2.0 updates will hopefully be fixed, and we will be preparing the site for creating even more new, original content.
Over the next few weeks, we will be posting daily screenshots of the site's new look - yes, we're changing the theme once again, but this time, we think we've...
