I drive to the store at the end of my street.
LOL My son wants me to drive to places like that too but I tell him, "I refuse to drive and waste gas on any place that I can simply just walk to. "
I'd walk more if I lived in a neighborhood that didn't have 3 drug busts in the last year. Silly minorities and their unconventional ways of making a living.
That doesn't deter me!!! lol
I only ever really see MJ being traded in front of my House YO! (still... wish they could be more discreet about it...)
Thats awesome! Best of luck! I've always wanted to to run one of those things.
Good luck Pure! It will definitely be an accomplishment to be proud of. You will be running marathons in no time!
@Grimus: Thanks! You could totally run a race! Start small if you're not sure and remember to pace yourself.
@Vamped: Thanks! I'm not sure about marathons just yet. Half Marathon would be the next step after this. (I don't think I'm ready for those either lol)
Ran my 10k in 1 hour and 14 minutes! Oh boyyy, i was off my mark. I wanted 1.10. (The last mile seemed the hardest)
Awesome pace! Keep it up :D!
You sound like you've ran stuff before Vamped 8) What's your fastest time?
Oh, you and I are right around the same level, I am working my way up :). I do a 10k right around 63 minutes-ish
I would say you're a level step above me. Great job! 8) I was hoping that I would like to do a 10k around that time too but I knew I hadn't trained hard enough for it. I did surprise myself a bit and I jogged/ran the whole thing. I only walked 1/4 to 1/2 a mile.
Plan on doing any half marathons anytime soon?
Ehhh, maybe :P. I am sure I will get there in the future, but it is not something that I currently work toward. My fiance is the runner between the two of us. She does halves right now and is working toward a full marathon.
She should do one of the credited marathons so if she can make good time, she could qualify for boston.
My boyfriend's the jogger to, he's doing the LA marathon this coming year. I used to think those races were stupid but after doing one, it was so much fun! 8) I do a few a year now, one being a obstacle /mud run that gives a good amount of the proceeds to autism.
It'd be great to do more actually but my pockets aren't that deep. haha
Pretty much same here lol! I thought they were silly, but when I started doing 5k's I was having a lot of fun :P and as you said, are usually for a good cause.
And I know! Some of these races are priced ridiculously!
The one that I like to do the most is this 8k that gives you free food at the end! Also, the mudrun that I talked about gives you a free beer XD
